Nanooptics on single magnetic semiconductor quantum dots

    Abstract

    We demonstrate the ability to monitor the magnetization of a single CdSe/ZnMnSe magnetic quantum dot by means of nano-optical spectroscopy. The average magnetic moment as well as statistical magnetic fluctuations are extracted from our data.
