Abstract
Semiconductor nanowires with unique optical properties can be applied to a diverse range of promising nanophotonic devices. In this paper, the design and validation of nanowire lasers and waveguides, nanowire photovoltaics, photon-triggered nanowire transistors, nanowire probes and nonlinear properties will be reviewed based on our laboratory results. I believe that the integration of the nanowire photonic devices will have significant applications in newer models for next-generation technology.
