    Abstract

A new autofocusing technique using the frequency selective weighted median (FSWM) filter is proposed for video cameras. The FSWM filter is resistive to impulsive noise from the CCD of video cameras. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm outperforms existing techniques by enhancing the accuracy of the focus value of the video camera.
