    Abstract

We demnostrate non-resonant enhancement of terahertz field by a nano-slit. Rigorous diffraction theory reveals that extreme sub-wavelength slit enables the field enhancement of thoudands, and finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) analysis confirms that.
