    Abstract

A class of stable nontopological vortex solutions in a two-component Bose-Einstein condensate and their internal dynamics in the presence of external fields were investigated. The nontopological vortices exhibited a spin dynamical behavior when coupled to external fields. It was stated that the external field can be used to create a non-Abelian Berry's phase and a nontopological vortex through phase imprinting method. The non-Albalian charge conservation law was used to explain the stability of a nontopological vortex.
