Abstract

In stressed power systems nonlinear effects are of great importance for capturing infrequent phenomena. In this paper, bistable behavior of an power system is investigated, which is due to nonlinearity of the system. The stable states in the system have been two equilibrium points (steady-state fixed point and periodic point) separated by a separatrix.
