Abstract

We report the low-power optical bistability under the continuous wave pumping conditions in photonic crystal linear resonators containing the InGaAsP quantum well active medium. The threshold bistable power is measured to be 35μW at the normalized detuning of -1.724, by employing fiber coupling techniques.
