    Abstract

In this paper, we propose a novel parallel-coupled microstrip bandpass filter with a wide stopband. The proposed bandpass filter with spur lines provides a deep and wide stopband because spur lines can provide deep stopband characteristics in some frequency bands. Also, the experimental results show that the transmission coeffi cients of the proposed filter are lower than -50 dB around the 2nd- and 3rd-harmonic frequencies. This operation can be obtained without increasing its size while the other features are not degraded.
