N2 - Performances of Ni, Pt, and lanthanum strontium cobaltite (LSC) were compared as electrodes for solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) at temperatures of 350∼450deg;. Metal electrodes were prepared as a 150nm-thick porous layer by sputtering and LSC was deposited by pulsed laser deposition. It was identified that the Pt cathode was more effective at low temperatures while LSC outperforms Pt over 450deg;. SOFCs with the Ni anode performed poor compared to Pt over all temperature regimes tested in this work.
