Abstract

Guided filtering (GF) is widely employed to generate a de-noised image from a flash image and a no-flash image. To generate a de-noised image with the GF, a flash image and a no-flash image are utilized as an input image and a guidance image of the GF, respectively. However, the captured flash and no-flash images often suffer from phase-mismatching caused by hand-shaking, and therefore the resultant image may look blurry. To solve this problem, this paper presents an adaptive phase matching guided filtering. By applying the Taylor series approximation to the conventional GF, the proposed method can generate the phase corrected result image. Experimental results are presented to validate the superiority of the proposed algorithm.
