Abstract
A study on photochemically gated protonation effected by intramolecular hydrogen bonding was presented. Fluorescence imaging was carried out using poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) films (HPQ/PAG/PMMA=1:3:21 by weight) spun from chloroform solution. It was shown that reducing the basicity of HPQ used in fluorescence imaging by intramolecular H-bonding increases the long-term readout stability of the image via photochemically gated protonation.
