Abstract
We have studied the proton dynamics in SnCl4·5H2O by using proton nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). Besides a melting transition, a lower temperature phase transition was observed. Two types of protons, only one of which appears to undergo the solid-solid phase transition, are distinguished dynamically as well as structurally.
