title = "Proton transport membranes for fuel cells: Polymeric versus dense ceramic",
abstract = "Polymer based proton conducting membranes are currently employed as electrolytes in PEMFCs and DMFCs, but they present engineering challenges. Alternatively, we have explored dense ceramic membranes as proton conducting electrolytes for fuel cells. These dense membranes are effective electrolytes when fabricated in sufficiently thin layers, and eliminate some of the limitations of polymer-based membranes. copyright The Electrochemical Society.",
