    Abstract

An interesting hyaloscyphaceous species was found on fallen leaves of Staphylea bumalda. The fungus fit well within the concept of Psilachnum. It is distinguished from other members of the genus by the almost sessile apothecia and foliicolous habit. We describe it as a new species, Psilachnum staphyleae.
