Abstract
We have obtained a complete analytical expression for a fluctuation-dissipation relation which determines the current noise spectrum of a point contact where the transmission coefficient can be large. We infer from this result that the junction I(V) characteristic can be used to find the noise current spectrum. It is also shown explicitly that the suppression of the quantum shot noise for large transmission probability is a consequence of the fact that for fermions the fluctuations of the occupancy number of a level is small when the average occupancy is close to one.
