Abstract
We have investigated the radiation damages of a hydrothermally-grown ZnO single crystal after 1.5-MeV proton-beam irradiation at a fluence of 1 × 1015 cm-2. The effects of the proton irradiation on the microscopic environment and the optical properties, as revealed by Raman spectroscopy, photoluminescence (PL), and cathodoluminescence (CL), are discussed.
