Abstract

The effects of proton irradiation on octadecylamine-functionalized carbon-nanotube (CNT) films have been studied by means of the Raman spectroscopy. An increase in the apparent CNT diameter, which was attributed to the diameter-dependent irradiation damage, an increase in the amount of charge transfer from the dopant additions, and the creation of structural defects with increasing irradiation dose at an irradiation energy of 0.5 MeV were revealed by the Raman spectra.
