N2 - In this paper, a scheduling method of air-conditioner is proposed for reducing the energy purchase cost in a smart home/building. The proposed method is designed to determine the air-conditioning schedule by using occupancy prediction in an energy management system for a smart home/building. A numerical simulation example is presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
