SILVER ION SENSING USING SILVER-SPECIFIC DNA BASED MICROMECHANICAL SENSOR

Abstract

Recently, how to detect nanoscale particles is demanding including Hg2+ CNT, ZnO wire, Mercury ion, and silver ion etc, both in buffer solution and in tap water. For example, silver released into the river can accumulate and oxidize into silver ions, which are known to be toxic. To avoid potential environmental and health issues, in this work, a highly sensitive sensing mechanism for silver ions using silver-specific DNA is developed.
