Abstract

This paper presents a novel approach to analyzing the security of the ASCON encryption algorithm against Grover's algorithm through a simplified quantum circuit implementation. By focusing on the encryption process, we eliminate the need for associated data and finalization stages, significantly reducing computational overhead. Furthermore, we propose new approach to the quantum circuit implementation of the ASCON encryption algorithm, utilizing the Clifford + T gates provided by a quantum simulator while also ensuring the cleanup of ancilla qubits.
