Abstract

This paper is on the improvement of speed-sensorless vector control performance of an IM with a speed estimator using the Self-Tuning Regulator (STR) control scheme. The proposed scheme which is constituted of a RLS algorithm and an IP control algorithm increases stability and improves control performance in steady state and transient state for both varying and constant speed references.
