    Abstract

Abnormal bright or dark spot images are classified into one of the LCD failures. We report here that this comes from the liquid crystal orientation, which is affected by the static charge-induced electric field. Based on the proposed mechanism, its prevention method will be discussed in terms of materials and ionizers.
