Abstract
A new strong confinement model for near-ground state Bose-Einstein condensates (BECs) is presented. It is shown that the coupled Gross-Pitaevski (GP) equations for the two-component BECs can be decoupled by a time-dependent dressing transformation. Further, it is demonstrated that the detailed spatial and temporal behavior of the two BECs is determined by the motion of 'particle-wave' objects.
