Abstract
The ferroelastic phase of TlH2AsO4 (TDA) was investigated by means of 1H NMR at a Larmor frequency where 1H NMR-75As NQR cross relaxation takes place. The spin-lattice relaxation was well fitted by a stretched-exponential form, M(t)=M0[1-exp[-(t/T1)1-n]]. The spin-lattice relaxation time (T1) exhibited a prominent thermal hysteresis, which is attributed to a glassy nature associated with the ferroelasticity.
