N2 - Peer-to-Peer (P2P) systems must identify malicious and fraudulent peers. Furthermore, the systems have to support self-configuration of a P2P network by providing reliable trust information, as peers meet unknown nodes or randomly join and leave the system. To grant trustworthy and seamless service in extremely uncertain P2P network environment, P2P system must cope with dependable trust management. This paper gives a taxonomy of reputation management system in P2P environment to instill trust between peers by concerning the malice, uncertainty, and volatility problems, Previous reputation systems are classified by criteria that encompass the degree of decentralization, description of dissemination, and approach of estimation to arrange.
