Symbol-wise beamforming with limited feedback for MIMO-OFDM systems

    Abstract

In this paper, we consider the symbol-wise beamforming with limited feedback for MIMO-OFDM systems in the presence of co-channel interference. We propose a noniterative algorithm for the symbol-wise beamforming with limited feedback, which provides the considerable performance with low computational complexity. We also propose the codebook for the symbol-wise beamforming with limited feedback under spatially correlated frequency-selective channel. It is clear from our simulation that our proposed scheme outperforms the symbolwise beamforming with limited feedback based on the iterative algorithm. We also confirm that our proposed codebook shows a better performance compared to the random vector quantization (RVQ) codebook.
