Abstract

The expectations relevant to successful commercialization of DSSC can be realized through developing the most efficient design of the titania film in DSSC. We present a simple method to fabricate TiO2 nanotube arrays of a few tens micrometer length adhered perpendicularly to thin nanoparticular titania layer on FTO-coated glass substrate. The thickness and morphology of the nanoparticular layer can be easily tuned to enable one designing the optimal architecture of the nanostructured titania film for diverse applications.
