Abstract

Presently, Load Carrying Capacity is used to bridge assessment. Allowable stress design concept and strength design concept is applied to evaluate the bridge performance. But these methods generally are difficult to reflect the damage and deterioration of material, structural performance by bridge life and uncertainty of environmental factors. Also established DB about uncertainty of dimension and material property is lacked, therefor existing evaluation method cannot calculate the performance deterioration according to elapsed time and uncertainty with gap of theoretical value and real structure is existed. So in this study, safety examination is carried out based on material property, structural performance and structural analysis.
