    Abstract

We present an electrical heterodyne phase locking of two ECDLs (Extended-cavity diode lasers) with a frequency difference of 6.9 GHz. We could increase the bandwidth of the phase locked loop up to 8 MHz with an electrical feedback to a current of a slave ECDL. And we have achieved the residual phase noise below -120 dBrad2/Hz between two phase-locked ECDLs in the frequency range from 100 Hz to 300 kHz, which is the lowest phase noise level ever reported with ECDLs.
