Abstract

Use of liquid carbon dioxide (l-CO2) in the uniform and dense deposition of CuS, PbS, or CdS quantum dots (QDs) with 2.5-4.5 nm in diameter onto mesoporous TiO2 films for quantum dot sensitized solar cell (QDSSC) applications is described. The low surface tension and the low viscosity of l-CO2 lead to uniform deposition of QDs.
